Panel Discussion Topics: Regional forum on 2025 PH Elections, 13-14 May 2024

The Legal Network for Truthful Elections (LENTE) shared the panel discussion topics for the regional forum on upcoming elections in the Philippines.

"What can we learn from the 2024 Super Election Year? A Regional Forum on the 2025 PH Elections" is happening on 13-14 May 2024 at the Shangri-La The Fort, Manila.

In partnership with the Commission on Elections, the Bangsamoro Information Office (BIO) through the Halalang Bangsamoro, the Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL), National Democratic Institute (NDI) and The Asia Foundation, the regional forum will gather various electoral stakeholders to discuss trends, innovations and challenges shaping the 2024 super election year and identify what lessons the Philippines can learn from these as the country prepares for the 2025 national and local elections and the first BARMM Parliamentary Elections.

The first day will hold four panel discussions, namely:

I. The Philippine Electoral Landscape
II. The Impact of Media on Election Integrity and Participation
III. The Impact of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) on Election Integrity and Participation
IV. Exploring the EMB: Strategies and Challenges for Effective Election Management

While the second day of the regional forum will have a parallel discussion for the Commission on Elections and Civil Society Organizations on monitoring abuse of state resources in elections and safeguarding election information integrity.
