
Myanmar students complete ANFREL Internship Program
Two students from Myanmar who are studying in Thailand have completed the ANFREL internship program.
Nang Kham Mai and Hnin Set Win from the Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies at Rangsit University spent two months with ANFREL and worked with the team for the Sri Lanka election assessment in August and for the upcoming Myanmar General Election.

They were also able to directly observe the by-elections in Samut Prakan, Thailand in August.
Snow and Winnie said that through the internship program they have learned about the different election systems in countries is Asia as well as how work is being done in a professional environment.

The ANFREL Internship Program aims to expose and empower the youth in election and democracy-building work in Asia.
As a message to their fellow youth, Snow and Winnie said that the youth should consider that their actions now may have an impact in the future and that they should focus on the work that they are passionate about to contribute to societal change.
