ANFREL Hong Kong Electoral Changes Assessment Report Launch & ‘Revolution of Our Times’ Documentary Screening

The Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL) cordially invites you to the launch of its Hong Kong electoral changes assessment report and the screening of the "Revolution of Our Times" documentary.

The details of the event are as follows:

Due to the COVID-19 situation, all attendees will be required to wear a face mask and maintain physical distancing at all times during the event.

About the report

The report entitled Elections Without Choice: State-Controlled Elections in Hong Kong is ANFREL's latest publication with an in-depth analysis of the latest changes in Hong Kong’s electoral system and how they systematically cause the regression of electoral democracy in the city.

About the documentary

Revolution of Our Times is a 2021 Hong Kong documentary film that covers the stories of the 2019–2020 Hong Kong protests directed by Kiwi Chow. The title of the documentary is derived from a popular political slogan "liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times," which has been ruled as illegal in Hong Kong. It covers seven teams of protestors with different stories which are put together as a comprehensive picture of the versatile movement. The documentary made its world premiere at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival in France and is currently banned in China and Hong Kong.
