ANFREL Webinar Series: Post-Elections Observation Findings on 2020 Myanmar General Elections
The Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL) is hosting a webinar on 25 January 2021, Monday, at 4 p.m. (Yangon time) about the post-election observation findings of election observer groups in Myanmar.
This is part of a series of webinars which aims to create public awareness on democratic elections and create a public platform for civil society organizations to discuss election-related issues and concerns.
ANFREL invited Aung Naing of the Arakan Election Monitoring and Observation Consortium — AEMOC, Khun Zaw of the Democracy for Ethnic Minority Organization — DEMO, and Min Thura Aung of the Pace on Peaceful Pluralism — POPP as speakers. Nay Win Naing of The Fifth Pillar will moderate the discussion.
The webinar will be hosted via Zoom. To join, please register here: https://bit.ly/38YnfW6. It will also be streamed live on ANFREL's Facebook Page: https://web.facebook.com/ANFREL.
ANFREL has previously hosted discussion on the importance of inclusiveness in elections; candidate registration, voter list display & voter education; COVID-19 and the Myanmar polls; elections observation during the COVID-19 pandemic in Myanmar; and findings of domestic election observation missions.
This program would not have been possible without the generous support from the Canadian Embassy in Yangon and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
*Note: This webinar will be in Burmese language but simultaneous English translation will also be available. Sign language interpretation will also be available.
