ANFREL Webinar Series: Candidate Registration, Voter List Display & Voter Education
The Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL) is hosting a webinar on candidate registration, voter list display & voter education on 17 August 2020, Monday at 4 p.m. (Yangon Time).*
This is part of a series of webinars which aims to create public awareness on democratic elections in the lead up to the 2020 Myanmar General Election scheduled for 8 November 2020.
For this month's webinar, ANFREL invited Daw Mya Nandar Thin from the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF) and Daw Win Myat Tun from the Myanmar Network for Free and Fair Elections (MYNFREL) as speakers. U Aung Naing Maw of the Panna Institute will moderate the discussion.
The webinar will be hosted via Zoom. To join, please register here: https://bit.ly/2XzEuqq. It will also be streamed live on ANFREL's Facebook Page: https://web.facebook.com/ANFREL.
Last month, ANFREL hosted a discussion on the importance of inclusiveness in elections. ANFREL is holding monthly webinar sessions to provide a platform for civil society organizations to discuss election-related issues and promote democratic elections in Myanmar.
This program would not have been possible without the generous support from the Canadian Embassy in Yangon and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
*NOTE: This webinar will be in Burmese language but simultaneous English translation will also be available.
