The Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL) is holding a press briefing on Thursday, 26 February 2026 to release the findings of ANFREL’s pre-election assessment mission to the 2026 Nepali House of Representatives Elections.

ANFREL is also launching its international election observation mission to the 2026 Nepali elections.

From 21-30 January 2026, ANFREL deployed a pre-election assessment mission to assess the broader pre-election environment, including the legal and administrative framework, institutional preparedness, civic space, electoral security, and the inclusion of youth and marginalized communities.

The press briefing will be streamed live via ANFREL’s Facebook and LinkedIn pages and Youtube channel starting at 10:30 a.m. Kathmandu time (GMT+5:45).
