The Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL) is launching the monthly newsletter “Members Roundup” to share news and updates about programs and activities of its members.

The “Members Roundup” newsletter will feature information about what ANFREL members are working on in pushing for electoral democracy in their respective countries. It serves as a supplement to ANFREL’s bimonthly newsletter e-Bulletin.

For the first issue, ANFREL members in Sri Lanka observed the recently concluded presidential election held on 21 September 2024. The newly elected president dissolved parliament and announced parliamentary elections to be held on 14 November 2024.

In the Philippines and Indonesia, meanwhile, ANFREL members are preparing for upcoming elections. Indonesia will have regional elections on 27 November 2024 while the Philippines will have national and local elections as well as the first BARMM election in May 2025.
