In the second issue of the “Members Roundup” newsletter, ANFREL highlight election-related activities of members in Sri Lanka, the Philippines, India and Nepal.

In Sri Lanka, ANFREL has been actively engaging with members PAFFREL and CMEV for the observation of the presidential and parliamentary elections. PERLUDEM in Indonesia has been monitoring the elections and political developments in the country as the country conducted regional elections on 27 November 2024.

Meanwhile, members in the Philippines as well as in Nepal are monitoring election-related activities and preparations for the upcoming national and local elections and by-elections, respectively.

ANFREL would like to extend our congratulations to our member in Bangladesh, Odhikar, for being selected as the recipient of the 2024 Asia Democracy and Human Rights Award by the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy.
